Lama Dorje (Jim Kramer) has been honored to be ordained by Domo Geshe Rinpoche for over 15 years, earning respect and admiration within his community for his nurturing spirit and generosity. As a Loving Kindness facilitator, Jim is known for bringing warmth and wisdom to the practice of Loving Kindness Meditation. His contributions to the Lotus Lake Buddhist Center are a testament to his dedication to preserving dharma teachings and fostering spiritual growth.
Jim’s compassionate leadership is guided by the “Five S’s of Leadership”—students/school, service, senior citizens, staff, and student council. His deep commitment to guiding young leaders is rooted in his meditation practice, which has focused on Compassion and Loving-Kindness for over a decade, inspiring those around him.
With over 20 years of experience in teaching and guidance counseling, Jim has most recently served in the McFarland school district. He is a proud graduate of the University of Washington in School Administration and is now happily retired, enjoying life in Neillsville, Wisconsin.
Beyond his spiritual and professional endeavors, Jim finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as tending to his garden and maintaining the lawn at Lotus Lake. He has shared a fulfilling journey with Lama Chonyi Betty Kramer since 1988, and together they have raised two children, creating a life enriched by both personal love and spiritual devotion. Jim’s life is a beautiful blend of spiritual dedication, compassionate leadership, and the simple joys of everyday living.
